2017年は、どのような年になりそうでしょうか。先が見えないようなとき、私たちはどうすれば前に向かって進んでいくことができるのでしょうか。ヨセフも、過去を振り返って、未来に向かって進んでいくことができない理由はいくらでもありました。ヨセフは先が見えないような中、どのようにして前に進んでいったのでしょうか。
What will 2017
look like for you? How do you move forward when life seems uncertain? Joseph
had every reason to look at his past and think there is no way he can move into
the future. How could he move forward in the uncertain time?

私たちは、自分が神様の愛しておられる存在だとわからないとき、人にその愛を求めるようになります。しかし人に期待するならば、大抵の場合がっかりしてしまいます。神様と独り静まることでしか満たされないニーズを、人で埋めることは決してできないからです。赦すこととは、人を人とすること。人を神としないことです。
If we don’t know
we are the beloved of God, probably we seek other people to give us that love.
But when we place our expectation on people, we are usually disappointed.
Because they cannot ultimately satisfy a need that only solitude with God can
fulfill. Forgiveness means to forgive the other person for not fulfilling all
my needs and desires. We need to forgive one another for not being God.

コリントの教会のクリスチャンたちは、パウロ、アポロ、ペトロといった彼らのお気に入りの指導者の周りに集まっていました。パウロは、こうした忠誠心から霊的高慢が生まれて、教会内に分裂が起こることを警告しています。私たちの信仰生活の中心が「忠誠心」であるならば、忠誠はぐらつきます。パウロは、分裂してしまった教会に対して、解決の道を大きく２つ示しています。
The Christians in the Corinthians Church gathered
around their favorite leaders. Paul warns against having such pride in our
favorite leaders that we cause divisions in the Church. It is shaky if our
lives depend on our loyalty. Paul shows two ways of solution for the divided
Church.
