「自分探しの旅？」 〜サウロからパウロへ〜

私たちの人生には、挫折や失敗をしてしまうことがあります。その中で、「もうできない。」「自分はもうだめだ。」 八方塞がりに陥ったように感じることが、しばしばあるのではないでしょうか。けれども、神様はそういった挫折の経験を通して、「自らの弱さ」を発見させて下さる。自らが正直になって、罪を認めさせて下さる。そして、イエス様の「恵み」の中で生かされることの素晴らしさを教えようとしておられるのではないでしょうか。そしてそれは、イエス様から、「新しい使命を与えられる時」でもあるのです。
今日の聖書箇所、使徒言行録9章で、「サウロ」という人物が登場します。その「サウロ」が、人生の岐路に立たされる。そして、彼の人生が大きく変えられる、文字通り、「パラダイム・シフト」を経験するような出来事が起こります。今日は、その「サウロ」を通して、神様から恵みを受け取っていきたいと思っています。

Have you experienced a moment like when we feel like we were walking through wilderness? We are stuck. Then
we may say, “There
is no way I can do. I cannot make it anymore.” However, God helps
us discover
our weaknesses through these set-back
experiences. God helps
us be honest
and acknowledge our brokenness. And God wants
to teach
us how wonderful
to live in his grace. And it may be the time for us to receive
a new mission
from God.
Today, we want to take a close look at Saul
who stood
at a crossroads, going through a life-transforming
experience, a spiritual
breakthrough
moment
in Acts 9.

今日の聖書の箇所に、5千人に食べ物を配る話が出てきました。そこでは、「出入りする人が多くて、食事をする暇がなかった」ほどだったと書かれています（31節）。群衆がつめかけて食事をする暇もなかったと言うのですから、イエス様と共に、弟子たちも、奉仕で大忙しだったのです。今日は、そんな奉仕で大忙しの弟子たちから、学んでいきたいと思っています。

were so busy
in their
service.
Today, we’d like
to learn
from these busy
disciples
in ministry.
