イエス様は、神の国を「盛大な大宴会」に譬えておられます。そして、あなたがた一人一人誰もが、この神の国の席へ招かれているのですよと言われます。どのような人が、主の主催する祝宴の席にふさわしいのでしょうか？
あなたは、イエス様が主催する宴会に出かける準備はできていますか？
Jesus told the parable of the “Great Banquet” to
describe the Kingdom of God. And He says anyone who wants to come is invited to
this Kingdom of God. What kind of people is worthy to be at the banquet table
that our Lord is hosting? Are you ready to go to the banquet table Jesus is
hosting?

1コリント17:27に、「ふさわしくないままで主のパンを食べ」とあります。かつて私は「ふさわしくない」＝「まだ洗礼を受けていない人々のこと」、「クリスチャンでない人たちのこと」と思っていました。でも本当にそうなのでしょうか？
「主の体をわきまえずに」(29節)とは、何のことを言っているのでしょうか？
今日は、1コリント11章に特に焦点をおいて、「主の食卓（聖餐）」についてもう一度深く吟味し、改めて学び直したいと思います。
1 Corinthians
17:27 reads, “in an unworthy manner.” I used to understand that “unworthy”
means the ones who were not baptized or nonbelievers are not allowed to take
the communion. Is this what Paul is teaching about? What does it mean by
“discerning the body of Christ” (v. 29)? I’d like us to re-study and re-examine
the Lord’s Supper, focusing on 1 Corinthians 11 today.
